As the words suggest, Career Planning is all about Planning i.e. the setting of objectives or goals for yourself.
Set yourself a three year game plan knowing that if you don’t know where you want to go, you certainly won’t ever get there.
Sustainergy has internal experts who can use sophisticated techniques to help you analyse your career options and set such objectives.
Then align your career plan with what the company you’re currently working for offers you and communicate these to your manager. It is better exploring the options where you currently are if that is feasible before you jump ship for the sake of jumping ship. As they say sometimes the fire is worse than the frying pan you are trying to get out of. However do monitor the progress from the time you have highlighted this within your company to your manager and the responses you get back from them. If the alignment between where you want to go and what the company you are in can offer you, is not happening then certainly talk to us and we will find you an employer who listens.
Recognize though that a large proportion of career planning is about YOU and you need to take the first steps. If you are unsure on this talk to us and we will guide you in almost the same way as a personal trainer does towards the setting and the achievement of your career goals.
