About the Mentor Chat

Thank you for your participation or consideration of our Mentoring Program for Electrical Engineers.

Mentoring is the best way to put something back into your industry. 

Of course Mentors can also participate as Mentees. 

With around 7,000 Electrical Engineers from around the globe and several of these in Australia within our database, we can find someone as a Mentor to even the most seasoned professional who seeks this as a way to re-learn. Try it.

How to use Mentor Chat

Once you've been assigned a mentor, you can use the Mentor Chat to enter into private discussions with your mentor at any time.

It's very simple to use the chat system, but your mentor should initiate the chat by clicking on the link above, then:

  1. Click 'New Message'
  2. Selecting the Members to be involved in that chat from the 'Select Members' list
  3. Giving the chat a meaningful title
  4. Typing the initial message
  5. Hitting 'Submit'
Once the chat is created, all member participants can leave messages that will only be visible to those who have been invited. Please note, site administrators can see all chats.
This chat is not instant - you will need to refresh the browser window to see new messages. However all messages are logged so you can review the information at any time.
You can also add other members to the chat at any time and they will be able to view all messages.
